Compassion often immerges with weeping of the rain
It can’t be rinsed away though, that truth dwells deep inside
Practice lovingkindness and then yes, do it again
Compassion often immerges with weeping of the rain
Dancing dreams and quiet places may ease the pain
Love’s not bells and flowers, it’s keeping kindness by your side
Compassion often immerges with weeping of the rain
It can’t be rinsed away though, that truth dwells deep inside

Love this poem, LuAnne- such truth delivered in a gentle, warming rythym.

Thank you, V.J. I usually don’t rhyme poems but this particular form had a specific rhyme scheme, and a rather odd one at that. It was fun to try something new. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

A lot of truth in just a few lines – repetition welcome! And “keeping kindness by your side” is a phrase I’ll repeat inwardly again and again. A mantra for all encounters (even those with my own insecurities).

Thanks, Jazz. I was playing with the poetic form called a triolet and it calls for repetition. I am glad that phrase on kindness spoke to you. It is a good companion. Glad you stopped by and I appreciate your comment.
