Gather fluttering energy
in the tender green season
of this new now,
like an infant not knowing,
not acting, not speaking,
pierce through mystery
with joy of new eyes
Fresh grass bends easily
in faint breaths of wind
embrace blurred boundaries
as transient truths

Where I live in the now I am surrounded by snow still. I look forward to the now of green grass!

We have a winter storm warning in effect for this afternoon. I am hunkering down to make soup and enjoy what will probably be our last big snow. Stay warm!

It is sometimes hard to slow enough to appreciate the moments. I love the second stanza, especially “embrace blurred boundaries as transient truths”.

“pierce through mystery
with joy of new eyes”—I really love these lines. I’ve been called naive in my life for seeing the joy of a sunrise or the way the clouds dance across the sky, but I’ve learned it’s really my super power.

Oh, I agree, Bridgette. What greater power to love the world and treat yourself than to notice the sunrise and the clouds, and all the transient beauty this universe gives us. Thank you for stopping by and leaving your lovely comment.
