Not limited by
pools of dreams
yet not quite in control
Within the cusp
of in between
the waking world and ghosts
Silver threads between two realms
weave translucent visions

The Na/GloPoWriMo prompt for today was to write a poem inspired by
book cover art. I chose the cover (above) of The Book of Dreams and Ghosts
which actually looks like an interesting read.
I love that you can read this either stand alone or with the image.

Thank you, Xan. It was loosely based on a dream I had about a year ago. Glad you stopped by.

“Within the cusp
of in between
the waking world and ghosts” – how wonderfully described that sleep state I am sure we all experience from time to time, it sounds both scary and magickal at the same time.

That in between time is so ponderous.

I know, VJ. It is magical and sometimes a little scary. But I love experiencing that cusp. Thanks for dropping by.

I do too – that feeling of leaving one reality (you can almost touch it) and merging into another.

I love where you took this — the cover also spoke to me, and I scribbled a little something, but I much prefer your take! 🙂

I love your work, Anna, and I hope you will share with us. I actually had a head-start on this one. I write down my dreams from time and this poem was written based on a dream I had about a year ago. Thank you for your kind words and I look forward to seeing your takes on the prompts this month. 🙂

That sounds like a good strategy! I’ve been trying to keep a dream journal, but then I usually rush so much in the mornings (because five. more. minutes) that I forget before I get the chance! Thank you for your kind words, and I am looking forward to reading yours, as well! 🙂

So . . you and Whispered wrote about the same bookcover?

Rather fishy, unless you know each other. Hope you are not a bot.

Not a bot, don’t know Whispered, but very grateful for the link. We must both be interested in dreaming and ethereal existence. I know I am.
