It’s a sing along day
when starlings polka dot the dawn
as muffins scent the windowpanes
with poppy seeds and cinnamon
It’s a sparkle day
when blessings tumble like confetti
and the rumble in your tummy
is satisfied with bon bons
It’s a snazzy day
when jazz renditions razzmatazz
as banana kiwi bubble gum
frolics in your mouth
It’s a periwinkle day
so crinkle stresses into wads
toss them in recycle bins
away worries, away!

I know it seems a little late in the day to be just getting up and around, but this was a happy, inspirational start to my day.

Thanks, Heather. Actually, you inspired me to play around with sounds with your poem, “A Whole Lot of Nonsense”.

That’s so nice to hear. You have done a wonderful job, I especially like “razamatazz” – that’s such a great sound word.

Loved this one. We need that kind of recycle bin, don’t we?
