Before the dishwasher ends its cycle
I’ve dirtied another half load
Before the laundry finishes drying
I’ve half-filled another hamper
It’s an illusion to think
I can get through a do list
when life is a cycle
that keeps on churning
Be good with the almost,
the next task, the half-done
Doing is dancing with where I am being
Being is dancing with where I am doing

I especially like the last 2 lines. My history is more from exercise/ fitness when I was able to run hard trail ultra marathons. Wherever you start after life’s latest “gift”, you can only start with where you are, take the next step, do what you can do.
