Hourglass

Life’s a series of moments experienced now

like sensory input flowing like sand in

an hourglass, constantly changing not

glued to any event of the past, so bring

to the table your best life, live in heaven now

The Day Six prompt is to write a variation of an acrostic poem, using words and phrases from another poem to begin each line instead of letters of a word. I used a line from Anna Nalik’s song, Breathe (2 AM). Her words are italicized.
Compliment this post with another poem inspired by Breathe, that I posted in January of 2016, called Meditation Song.
