I intended to write in my journal
but a call from my daughter in Europe
took precedence over my plan
I intended to cook chicken for dinner
but dropping temps and a show of snow
inspired vegetable soup
I intended to go to the gym
but sparked by thoughts to create,
I stayed home to polish a poem
Where do I find the balance between
staying centered in solid intent while
agile enough for new inclinations?
That Soup looks SO Yummy… May I 🙂

Sure! Soup is my favorite meal during winter. If you follow the link for the graphic, you can find the (non-recipe) recipe at Cooking Classy. Enjoy!

It is hard to find balance, I agree. Maybe the initial intent is all we need and coupled with openness, creates discovery.

Thanks for your comment, V.J. It is a constant challenge for me (I have many posts on this topic!) but it is also a blessing to have choices and know that I can choose my direction. I appreciate the approach you summarize for dealing with this challenge.

My pleasure LuAnne. I think we all deal with this issue. Ah, life.

I think the answer is in the notion of balance … which implies (demands) flexibility
This poem warms my heart … companionship … thank you.
