Song of Mid-April, 2018

Ice in April

An icy shawl drapes my heron carving
Each dogwood limb glazed in frozen shroud
Today

Sleet sheets the walkway
Drops thud from the eaves
Winter storm watch issued for

Today

Spring’s song will soften
This slice of my earth
Relieving nature of its icy weight
But j
ust not
Today

    1. Yes, realistic. According to the forecast we won’t see a hint of spring weather until next week. But I am grateful to be alive and experiencing it! Thanks for stopping by, Joan. I’ve been traveling a lot but back now and hope to catch up on blogs of my friends soon.
