Mantras for Chakras Three and Four

Third Chakra Mantra

May I create my unique path
with intent
using the resources
offered by the universe

Fourth Chakra Mantra

May I acknowledge the dignity
of the unique paths of others
whose paths touch my own

May I treat all paths with respect
and lovingkindness

The third chakra is the fire chakra located in the region of the solar plexus. It deals with the issues of power and energy. One with a strong third chakra is clear on her purpose of life and exerts the strength of her will. The underlying right of the third chakra is to utilize one’s personal power and to act with conscious intent.

The fourth chakra is the air chakra located in the region of the heart. It primarily deals with the issues of love. A strong fourth chakra seeks compassion and tolerance. The underlying right of the fourth chakra is to experience offering love and accepting love from others.

This week I am sharing the mantras I repeat during my meditation sessions to nurture a balance of my seven chakras. The word “chakra” is a Sanskrit word that translates as “wheel or disk”. Many see the seven chakras as “spheres of energy radiating from the central nerve ganglia of the spinal column” (from The Sevenfold Journey by Anodea Judith and Selene Vega). Also see my post for Mantras for Chakras One and Two.

For a brief description of the seven chakras, see The 7 Chakras – A Beginners Guide to Your Energy Systems. I also recommend a book called The Sevenfold Journey that provides more indepth descriptions, physical exercises, and suggestions for balancing the chakras.

  1. I will need that “all paths with respect” mantra over the next 2 weeks as procrastinating university students arrive in our academic advising office to sign up for spring classes.

    1. I know what you mean, Debbie. 🙂 For me it is most beneficial when interacting with those who hold very different political views than I do. But it is a practice that I have found worthwhile. I think saying the mantra each day has helped me be more loving to people with different perspectives. After all, we all come from a unique background.

    1. Thank you, Debbie! I took that photo during a walk in the park near my house on a foggy October morning. The fog does cloak the world in mystery. I so appreciate you stopping by my site and adding your lovely comments. May the path you create today be filled with awe and joy.
